Family Tree has been life-changing for our son. He's more confident, more focused, and genuinely excited to train every single day. The coaches treat the kids like their own.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Is Jiu Jitsu safe for kids and beginners?

Yes. Every class begins with structured warm-ups and is taught by certified instructors who emphasize control, respect, and proper technique from day one. Beginners and kids train in their own dedicated rooms.

What should I wear to my first class?

Just comfortable workout clothes — athletic shorts or leggings and a t-shirt. We provide a loaner gi for your free trial. After that, we can help you pick the right one.

Do I need any experience to start?

None at all. The vast majority of our members started as complete beginners. Our Fundamentals program will take you from your first day to confident training in just a few weeks.

How long until I see results?

Most members notice improvements in fitness, focus, and confidence within the first 4 – 6 weeks. Technical skill compounds quickly with consistency — two to three classes per week is the sweet spot.
